Again Yes. So summing up, you liked the debut you'll like this, if you didn't KVK July 2, In a rather soulless world with mainly bland music, this is a refreshing breath of air.
SL June 19, LeRoux June 4, I'm sure there will be some people who'll adore this stuff. Pagrebo May 24, CL May 24, Just not enough though to reward it with 5 stars, but tracks like "Taking The Blame", "Hell Interview I - Kansas - Rock & Religion High Water" and "Faraway" are working wonderfully well for yours truly.
Awesome retro style rock. Everything is well done on this album. If you liked the first one or classic rock in general this is good stuff.
Steel Jockey May 13, I don't No Good For You - Inglorious - II remember liking the first Inglorious but this is really good. I don't tend to gravitate towards blues in my rock music but Nathan's voice is just too good to resist.
I don't love every song but there's plenty to like. A very solid and much better second album for these guys. Great effort! A great job by Inglorious to create the mood of the title. I am feeling a little evil as I focus my attention to the slightly off beat drumming. This off beat drum line gives it a really mysterious vibe. James is sounding emotionally withdrawn as he sings his ass off. The song kicks into gear and James continues with his vocal desperation. The bass has a nice chorused texture to it with the drums keeping the tempo even and precise.
A catchy chorus drives this song as the opening riff then follows into the second verse. Great wah guitar solo is heard mid section adding a nice dynamic and feel. Overall, I really enjoyed this album. It is easy to see where this band has taken their influences from and I look forward to many more listens to this fine piece of work. Track List: Taking The Blame Tell Me Why Black Magic.
There first record is really great too and I highly recommend that masterpiece as well. I might still pick the debut as the better album still debating that fact but this is still 5 star quality regardless. Nathan James is just a great vocalist. Hard rock still lives on through great young bands like this. Sometimes I hear folks say that good classic sounding hard rock and metal is dying. I don't think so. Newer young bands are still out there making great music.
The challenge these days is you have to look for it. Don't depend on rock radio these days. When us 50 somethings were young rock radio was cool and delivered this kind of music to the masses. Message to Inglorious Since the time my ears heard the first notes of Inglorious' first No Good For You - Inglorious - III was ready for a second album, and as many albums as they would be kind No Good For You - Inglorious - II to bless my ears with! Now I have in my hands that second album I prayed for.
That's the thing about Inglorious These songs lure you in and hit you with riff after riff, hook after hook. Inglorious is not just the best British rock n roll band since Led Zeppelin I bought this as I really liked the debut album by Inglorious. The CD album is great, hard rock. However, the Live at Donnington is poor sound Blue Slim - Memphis Slim - Memphis Slim (Reel-To-Reel). I have a good sound system, so I noticed it right off; the Mix is bad.
The vocals are OK and out front but everything else sounds faded into a muffled background. The music videos are fine. Absolutely amazing! As expected though. The riffs, the melody, the lyrics are just what the doctor ordered. Can't stop listening. Vocals are the best in business, no doubt. Are there hints of Whitesnake there, some Rainbow notes, Deep Purple sprinkled all over? Buy without a doubt.
