Covert Sins - At War - Retaliatory Strike

Download Covert Sins - At War - Retaliatory Strike

Not the greatest track here, but the chorus is cool. The vocals in "Felon's Guilt" are extremely entertaining, even if he Covert Sins - At War - Retaliatory Strike repeats the same bustling pattern in each verse, and the guitar riff at the breakdown is also quite kickass. The brief "Thinkin' " develops into some of the faster picking on the album, but it's under a minute in length, and lastly "The Example" is a blur of competent riffing with some Megadeth like speed grooves wound through it, but the vocals suck and it's not one of the better tracks.

I've always gotten the nagging impression Covert Sins - At War - Retaliatory Strike had At War survived to release a third album in aroundthey might have had a minor cult hit on their hands, but Retaliatory Strikedespite its general quality, would go almost as unnoticed as its elder sibling. The band's no horseshit, dirty production might have turned off some where by were expecting every album to sound like State of Euphoria or And Justice for Allbut really it was more of a lack in marketing, which would put the entire label under.

People worked on a rather limited budget for music in those days, and even though some diehards like myself might have bought up every thrash album they could afford on paper route money or leftover beer funds, there was no easy means like the interwebz for the majority to even become aware of the Virginians.

It's a shame, because this is a good, if not essential album which oozed bullets and promise. One complaint I must register is that the CD cover on the re-release is fucking horrible.

By acting as if they want peace! They'll find you and use you to get what they want At the end you'll get stabbed in the back Risk not your freedom with enemies! Fight them until they know they've lost! Cause not! Church And State When priests become Politicians!

They'll have freedom On the run! Land of free, The home of the brave! They'll force all men To be God's slaves! Church and state Must separate! It's time we now Retaliate! Church and state Can't integrate! Do it now Before it's late! The righteous folk Turn their prayers to stocks! God's destiny Is forced on thee! Their blind crusade Turns to charade! At powers gain All sinners slain! I see it in your eyes Still you know you can't hide!

It shines Covert Sins - At War - Retaliatory Strike through! Feel as though you've died! Eating from inside! Waiting to be hanged! Caught once again! Written on your face! Self-made disgrace! Waiting it to end! Transgression's blend! Must I Get Lifted (Dream Vocal Rmx) - Various - Promo-Mix 19 with yourself Covert Sins - At War - Retaliatory Strike worth the wealth!

Your Covert Sins - At War - Retaliatory Strike have had enough Acting's not so though! Paranoia's time Pay for your crime!

Thinkin' Thinkin' hopin' prayin' wishin' tryin' [4x] Thinkin' Thinkin' hopin' prayin' wishin' tryin' [4x] You think you got a hope in hell You don't you fiend you just go home Alone and the proceed to jack!!

The Example years is all it took The rest of the world must take a look And notice just how far we've come Once a British colony We took the freedom that wee need And put oppression on the run! Third world countries everywhere Dictatorships that just don't care Human rights no issues there! Civil war a normal day The people know no Tename En Tu Corazon - Violeta Parra Et Isabel Et Angel Parra* - Un Rio De Sangre way They look to us in green dismay!

Understanding endless wars The answers we're all searching for when those who fight don't know much more If they can't stop their ceaseless fights Then let's step in and set them right Reality is peace through might!

One thousand years of holy war To die in battles' whats they're for Their offspring raised to fight some more Still killing people of their blood All in search of Allah's love The only thing they know to do!

They love to hate the communist Then sight their Train Of Thought (12 Mix) - Various - FFRR Classics Volume 7 on Zionists Another hostage on their list! Ransom for their evil deeds A gun or two is all they need We won't again fulfil their greed!

America's the target now From people who bow down to cows Whole over here a stake's good chow! To tighten up influence grip Would show them all we're sick of it Force the end to killing fits!

No more! Its not that bomb across your fence Your enemy is ignorance Negotiation's self-defense! Thanks to Damned for sending these lyrics. All lyrics provided for educational purposes and personal use only. Raw, tight and furious. Compared to the first LP, this is a big step forward. Better Covert Sins - At War - Retaliatory Strike writing, better performances, better production.

This is thrash metal, but not of the grab you by the throat style. They put lots of emphasis the feeling and groove before heading into really catchy choruses, Covert Sins - At War - Retaliatory Strike as in Gutless Sympathiser, Church and State, and the almost instrumental Creed of the Sniper, which are all awesome tracks. Even though they play a somewhat unoriginal Covert Sins - At War - Retaliatory Strikeeven back in i think these guys could have been bigger.

They are one of those bands who would have deserved a better deal with a better label. Reckon not much room was left for bands like this back inbut if they sounded anything like this in a live situation, they must have been an awesome live band. Pure thrash with a lot of power and no fancy shit. Just straight forward moshing.

No bullshit outside influences, just pure thrash. Which is cool and i hope to think it's not to be taken seriously, like Sodom 'Agent Orange' or 'M'. Just something to accompany the music, which to me is perfectly fine, even if i could care less about it. Great LP. Just too bad New Renaissance released it, and didn't do shit for them, as all of the other bands on their roster. Do yourself a favor and find this.

At War's opening volley of mortar fire went noisily into the night, but went it did, and was very quickly dismissed by the majority of the 80s thrash fanbase, if they ever even had the chance to hear it. The sounds were raw and the hearts were in the right place, but the music was severely lacking. So the three generals met in closed tents and rehearsal spaces, regrouped and returned two years later, still with the promising New Renaissance Records, for their Retaliatory Strike, @Shadowtodd - Dumphop - Death Grits more significant effort in all departments.

In fact, though the band has recently reformed and put out a new album Infidelit is this sophomore which remains the peak of their career, waiting to be toppled like some obscure South American dictator beneath the fire of commandos and mercenaries. The band Wonder Where You Are - Michael Sembello - Without Walls maintains that aura of a dumbed down Slayer alabut the riffs are fucking lethal here, and the vocal reverb reminds me a great deal of early Voivod, though he's got a much deeper voice.

This track alone is better than anything the band offered on the debut, Covert Sins - At War - Retaliatory Strike instantly one gets the impression the band will be playing for keeps with the listener's memory here. This is enforced with the choppy, more technical riffing of "Creed of the Sniper", which seems to excel to the point at which it becomes comparable Covert Sins - At War - Retaliatory Strike Bay Area and German thrash velocity of its day.

Stand on both sides even wiser! I really liked this one. Not the greatest track here, but the chorus is cool. The vocals in "Felon's Guilt" are extremely entertaining, even if he just repeats the same bustling pattern in each verse, and the guitar riff at the breakdown is also quite kickass. The brief "Thinkin' " develops into some of the faster picking on the album, but it's under a minute in length, and lastly "The Example" is a blur of competent riffing with some Megadeth like speed grooves wound through it, but the vocals suck and it's not one of the better tracks.
